Privacy

Notara is currently in active development. This page describes our intended approach and will be finalised, dated and version-tracked before general availability.

What we collect

Account information (email, display name), and content you create in Notara — meeting recordings, transcripts, notes, actions, decisions and documents.

Who owns your data

You do. Every record you create is scoped to your account and enforced at the database level (Row-Level Security), not just in the app you're using. Nobody at MJW Group can browse your meeting content as a matter of course.

How we use it

• To provide the service — storing, transcribing, and synchronising your meetings across your devices.
• To generate AI summaries, decisions and actions from your own content, at your request. Transcription and summary generation are performed by Google's Gemini AI service (see Sub-processors below).
• We do not sell your data. Whether meeting content sent for AI processing is excluded from model training depends on the Google AI service tier in use; the exact tier and its data-use terms are being confirmed during the controlled preview, and this notice will state the definitive position before any real (non-synthetic) meeting is processed.

Sub-processors

Notara relies on: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (application hosting), and Google (Gemini AI for transcription and summaries, and — only if you connect them — Google Calendar and Google Drive). Microsoft OneDrive is planned and not currently used.

Third-party processing

Where you connect optional integrations (Google Calendar, Google Drive), Notara only accesses what those integrations' scopes explicitly grant, and only after you connect them yourself in Settings.

Your rights

You can export a copy of your data, and delete your account and its data, from Settings > Data & privacy. Contact us (see the Contact page) for any other request.
